pop music sensation in Brazil, became a worldwide phenomenon by the time she was 20 years old
33 years old (born the 29th of July 1996)
when her grandfather died, her mother turned to her for emotional and financial support; instead of taking a job, her mother had her work from the young age of 10, hiring the best composers, publishers and artists to turn her into a pop star
she became the face of a multimillionaire company, touring the world and being in the cover of every celebrity magazine
lived in New York, had some infamous break ups and other scandals
had a public meltdown in 2018 and was committed to a rehab facility in Massachusetts
after those incidents, she got out of the public eye for a couple of years, and spent that time back in Rio de Janeiro were her mother always lived
she sold her New York penthouse in 2019 and dedicated to herself and the complex relationship with her mother; they both did therapy and became allies in order to end the ongoing abuse and toxic relationships inside their family

her mother, Belmira Ribeiro, was the daughter of a famous samba musician called Sergio Ribeiro; she grew up in the public eye, and was exposed to talks shows and late night TV since she was a baby; she was always her father's weakness, there were rumours their relationship was too close for a father/daughter dynamic; Sergio used to sing to her in public some romantic songs meant to be sang to a lover, not appropriate for his teenage daughter
Belmira got pregnant with Adriana when she was 17 years old, from a one-night stand with some guy, so they never knew who the father was; Sergio supported her and her Adriana since she didn't work a day in her life; she repeated with Adriana her own story, exposing her to the public eye and taking her to television sets every time they could; Adriana had a magnetic personality, and got accustomed to being always the centre of attention
Sergio passed away in 2005 from liver cancer at 53 years old
