Usage
The default words "article or section" are replaceable: {{Self-reference|table}} produces:
 | This table may contain inappropriate self-references to the Wikipedia project or to itself. |
A date parameter can also be used to inform other editors of the time the tag has been in place: {{Self-reference|article|date=January 2026}} produces something like:
| This article may contain inappropriate self-references to the Wikipedia project or to itself. (September 2007) |
This template will categorize articles into Category:Articles containing self-references.
