• lived in Warsaw with his mother (and his cat, Stefan) until he went to university on a scholarship (University of Westminster,Translation Studies)
• he was 19 when he moved to London (took Stefan with him), worked as a Spanish tutor (giving private lessons) while learning french at the university and Esperanto on the side
• between the private lessons, and the administrative job he got thanks to his professors recommendation, he managed to save enough to rent a two bedroom apartment on Whitehall
• he represents knowledge and rationality over emotions, curiosity and persistence

Family

• single child (plus three half siblings on his father's side, that he's never met)
• his mother is Ewa Nowicki; married young as a failed attempt to get away from her own overbearing mother
• his father, Aleksander Dabrowski, is an artist and cartoonist with big dreams and small ambition
• his parents married at a young age (her 17 and him 18 years old), and divorced when Pawel was four years old
• his father never spoke to his ex wife and child after leaving, and remarried a couple of years later to a vapid and shallow woman named Irena, with whom had three children together, that Pawel never met
• his mother became a single parent; she started working full-time as an administrative assistant, on a lawyer's office in Warsaw, when he was 5 years old
• his maternal grandfather was originally from Kraków but he died when Pawel was 9; his maternal grandmother was a Hungarian real-estate agent, and she never remarried despite still being young and beautiful when she widowed
